Developing A Fundraising StrategyThursday, 16 Sept 2010 9.30am to 1pm

Your strategy is the backbone of your fundraising and getting it right demands time and energy at an early stage particularly in light of the current funding environment.
This workshop covers the preparation, development, implementation and review of a good fundraising strategy. It will provide you with a clear understanding of what a strategy should contain and how you put it into operation.
The trainer Sue Robson, has experience of writing strategies and raising funds for a variety of voluntary organisations.

Aim for the day: In the current economic climate, cuts in public funding, changes in lottery priorities and The Government's new vision for the role of the voluntary sector, planning for the future of your organisation is more improtant than ever! Where does your organisation fit into the Big Society agenda and localism? Thinking about the future of your organisation and planning for the changes froms a cenral part of business planning and will be addressed on this course. First Aid Training CourseMonday, 1 Nov 2010 9.00am to 4.30pm

This course covers: * Action at an emergency * Unconsciousness recovery position * Resuscitation of adults * The first aid kit & hygiene record keeping * Control of bleeding and shock * Asthma and choking * Some medical emergencies heart diabetes head injuries * Burns and scalds injuries to bones and joints. Assessment will be on-going throughout the course and students assessed as competent will receive an 'Emergency First Aid at Work' certificate valid for three years.
Cost: £65.00 members £85 non member
Be A Winner - Tendering Applications Training CourseTuesday, 9 Nov 2010 10am to 3pm

Voluntary Sector organisations in Sutton are increasingly being required to submit competitive tenders for their work, but for many it remains a complicated and confusing process. This 1 day course is designed to help demystify the jargon and procedures and talk you through how to submit a tender in Sutton.
The day will cover:-
Background to the tendering process Understanding the terminology Key stages in preparing the tender and what you need to do at each stage How to present the evidence that you are able to meet the specification
This workshop will be delivered by the Sutton Procurement Team, who know what is required in Sutton, with examples of tender documentation.

Cancellation PolicyOnce we have received a booking form or email to reserve a place on one of our training courses our cancellation policy will then apply.
21+ working days before course – 10% of course fee
20 – 11 working days before course – 50% of course fee
1 – 10 working days before course – 100% of course fee
Non attendance – 100% will be charged unless there are VERY exceptional circumstances

If you wish to change the name of the person attending once a place has been reserved please ensure the change is put in writing to Sandra@suttoncvs.org.uk so that all relevant documentation is correct.
