The NHS is still here for you when you need urgent health advice
The NHS is under significant pressure at the moment. This is due to the growing number of people testing positive for Covid-19 and being cared for in the health and care system alongside the usual winter pressures.
But it is still important to contact us for vital health care during this lockdown. This might be about serious ongoing health issues, pregnancy or new physical symptoms or mental health concerns. Parents of babies and young children should also continue to seek health advice if they have any worries about their child’s health.
You can also visit NHS 111 online at www.111.nhs.uk or call NHS 111 to get expert help and advice. The 111 service can also book you an appointment with the right health care service if you need to be seen by a healthcare professional. In a life-threatening emergency situation call 999.
To help keep patients safe, if you need to see your doctor or nurse, you’ll do this via a video or telephone consultation first and will only be asked to visit the surgery if you need to be examined or assessed in person and don’t have Covid-19 symptoms. Our surgery is taking all necessary precautions to protect staff and patients during the pandemic.
Weekend GP services for urgent health advice 8am-8pm.
At this busy time for the NHS, we have put on extra services over the weekend if you need urgent medical help.
This is to help local hospitals and the ambulance service as they are extremely busy at the moment.
How to access weekend GP services
On Saturdays and Sundays between 8am to 8 pm, please telephone 0333 332 4360. You will speak to a clinician and be offered an appointment if you need one. This may be a telephone, video or face to face appointment.
Outside of these hours please call 111.
Remember, you can also use your local pharmacy for non-urgent health advice
