Are you passionate about equality and social justice in Sutton? Do you want to work with partners across Sutton to understand better what the equality issues are in Sutton? Do you want to develop joint approaches to bringing about positive change for people who are underrepresented or vulnerable in Sutton? Then please come along to the next meeting of the Equality and Diversity Forum meeting that is being held on 29th November at 7-9pm at Granfers Community Centre.

This year Trustees' Week will take place from 13th – 17th November 2017. Trustees’ Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference.

A lolliopop lady, a team of drummers and a social enterprise were among the unsung local heroes recognised at the 2013 Sutton Community Awards from Sutton Council.

The Big Lottery Fund has announced that nearly half a million pounds will go to Age UK Sutton to fund their One Voice for Age engagement group.

 

Two of our SCVS members, Sutton Community Farm and Sutton Foodbank have joined forces to help people in crisis with no financial safety net.

Set on the edge of Carshalton Ponds, The Grove is hoping to be a hub for Sutton’s voluntary sector.

Together with Sutton Council, Volunteer Centre Suttonand Sutton Citizen’s Advice Bureau Sutton Centre for the Voluntary Sector is preparing a bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund to open the building to the public and voluntary organisations.
